The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Compliance Statement

As a company doing business in the State of California, Delicato Family Wines provides the following statement pursuant to its obligations under the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010.

The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 was enacted to educate consumers, about efforts that companies are undertaking to prevent and root out human trafficking and slavery in product supply chains. These disclosures allow businesses and consumers to make informed decisions about the products they choose to purchase, and the partners they choose to conduct business with. Delicato Family Wines is committed to conducting business with suppliers who adhere to the highest ethical standards and comply with laws and regulations applicable to their business. Delicato Family Wines has undertaken the following actions to ensure that services and materials provided to Delicato Family Wines meet these standards.

We are committed to fair labor practices within our supply chain. Many of Delicato Family Wines suppliers are located in the United States. Jurisdictions in the United States laws making forced labor and human trafficking a serious crime. So far as we are aware, no supplier to our company, whether located within or without the United States, has ever been accused of engaging in forced labor or human trafficking. Where we engage suppliers in Countries that may pose a risk, we engage in a risk assessment related to the Country and supplier before contracting with the supplier.

At Delicato Family Wines we establish guidelines and programs related to quality and product integrity for our large suppliers. When we contract with suppliers, we require that those suppliers to act in compliance with all applicable laws, including laws against forced labor and human trafficking. Delicato Family Wines reserves the right to verify that its suppliers are in constant compliance with these terms and conditions, and to terminate relationships with any suppliers who do not comply. We do not specifically require suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into its products comply with human trafficking and slavery requirements. However, the additional measures taken above, support these goals.

Delicato Family Wines family culture has a history of promoting ethical business practices is reflected in our Handbook and Code of Conduct, which is distributed to each new employee, and updated annually. All employees are required to acknowledge and adhere to our Handbook and Code of Conduct, and we routinely offer training on these policies to all employees.
